Panagiotis Karaiskos was born in 1988 in Athens and has been involved in sports since childhood. In his adolescence, influenced by the wrong friends, he was led into the nightmare of drugs, reaching the point of using heroin. He lived for six years in addiction, facing serious psychological and social consequences. With the support of his family and immense inner strength, he managed to break free and find his redemption in running. In 2023, he won first place among Greeks in the Authentic Athens Marathon. Today, Panagiotis Karaiskos is an example of how willpower and support can transform a person’s life, from the depths of addiction to the pinnacle of athleticism. A true story of rebirth and inspiration.
