Giannis / Schizoaffective Disorder
Schizoaffective disorder is a mental health condition in which a person experiences psychotic symptoms of schizophrenia, such as delusions, hallucinations, disorganized thinking, or flat emotion, along with mood disorder symptoms such as depression and/or mania. The disorder begins more often at a young age than at an older age and can manifest either with a psychotic or an emotional episode or a combination of them. Its prognosis is better than that of schizophrenia, but worse than that of affective disorders. Deterioration of normal functioning in work, family and social interaction may become evident especially in an advanced stage of the disorder. A combination of genetic and environmental factors are thought to play a role in the development of schizoaffective disorder
