Kostas / Addicted to Benzos
Benzodiazepines are a class of psychoactive drugs commonly prescribed for Anxiety Disorders, insomnia, seizure disorders, muscle relaxation and alcohol withdrawal. While benzodiazepines are effective for short-term use, prolonged use can lead to dependence , a significant concern, especially when are used for extended periods or in higher-than-recommended doses. Dependence can develop after just a few weeks of continuous use, and users may experience tolerance, requiring increasing amounts of the drug to achieve the same effects. Benzodiazepine withdrawal can be severe and, in some cases, life-threatening.
